Women's Ministries

The Women's Ministries Department of the Sandpoint Adventist Church is joining with Adventists around the world to stop violence against women. A new initiative from the church's international governing body, the General Conference, and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) seeks to raise awareness of, and advocate for the end of violence against women and girls.
The campaign, called "enditnow", has as it's first goal, sending a petition with one million signatures to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, calling for U.N. support to end practices that endanger women in every society today. These practices include sex trafficking, domestic abuse, sexual assault, honor killings, female genital mutilation, child marriage, emotional and verbal abuse, and other forms of violence. It is estimated that at least one women in three, worldwide, has suffered some form of physical or psychological repression.
The world church has established a website at www.enditnow.org to promote the project and provide resources to interested parties.
